Caesars Palace Hotel is the classic sprawling Vegas hotel, where high class meets high kitsch.

After all, the last decade has seen Caesars throw multi-billion dollars into the hotel, rearchitecturing, reengineering, expanding and remodeling, and then restructuring some more.

The result is Caesars Palace is more Vegas than anything, in the modern sense of the word, of course. But have no fear and reject all help, because the campy Roman feel of the place lives forever, with marble columns, replicas of famous statues, and toga-wearing slaves. I mean employees.

Today's Caesars Palace is characterized by true glamour as opposed to the tacky, kitschy stuff of the past. So if your great-grandfather recommended the place... there has bees some changes. Nevertheless, the hotel is struggling to retain some of the great Vegas feel it once possessed.

"If you cannot convince them, confuse them." This could be the motto of Caesars Palace when it comes to getting around in the property. Despite that little negative, you're guaranteed to be reduced to tears when it’s been time to leave the place.

The newer rooms in the towers are handsome and huge, some with his and hers baths. The older rooms also have their charm, some with sunken tubs in the sleeping areas. The hotel boasts a stunning Roman-themed swimming-pool area and health spa, spiced up with such cheesy amenities as talking, stiffly moving statues in the shopping center. 

The shopping center is in itself a Vegas miracle, being a reproduction of an Italian street, down to the sky overhead, filled with acclaimed stores, plus a copy of the Colosseum in Rome, a second-to-none showroom presently hosting Cher, with Celine Dion returning in March 2011.

Coupled with terrific restaurants including Spago and the Palm, and a state-of-the-art casino, these unique and enjoyable features make Caesars Palace Hotel the ideal place to go in pursuit of all facets of Las Vegas life.
