Luxor Hotel Las Vegas, South Strip
70Luxor Hotel Las Vegas
The Luxor? Which one is that? Ohhh, the 30-story pyramid with the Sphinx in front! I can see now.
Luxor Hotel Las Vegas is somewhat unlike the Great Pyramid of Giza, as this latter is not covered in glass, nor does it have a 300,000-watt light beam projecting from the top. But fortunately for us, the Luxor is more customer-friendly.
I won't kid you. If you want an Egyptian theme, go to Egypt. The Luxor Las Vegas used to be the epitome of a swank theme park, but a thorough makeover has stripped it of all the silliness. The generic interior of the hotel no longer keeps up with the narrow-minded promise of its exterior. It’s a darn shame!
Inside Luxor Hotel Las Vegas
Some of the Egyptian detail survives, though. In the otherwise pretty plain rooms in the pyramid we still find super cool sloped walls at the expense of bathtub. The elevators still go at an angle. And the ride is free of charge!
Luxor Hotel Las Vegas has 5 huge pools, a large and bright casino, some hip bars and nightclubs, exciting shows, and an exhibition of artifacts from the Titanic along with the morbid preserved bodies science exhibit called Bodies: The Exhibit. A mini-monorail links you to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur Casino.

The exclusive Four Seasons Hotel is a perfect Las Vegas hide-out for moneyed folk. The hotel has only 400 rooms, which results in much more personal attention from the staff than any other high-profile hotel in Vegas could keep up with.
