Lots of people love Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas for its carnival atmosphere, tropical theme, and enormous rooms.
The rooms have sectional sofas, small fridges, and very neat top-to-bottom windows with great views. But they’re not quite the suites the hotel touts.
The Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is located a solid 15-minute from the Strip and features the occasional unfriendly staff members.
Those who tend not to enjoy the chaotic, party-all-day-long ambiance are advised against coming here. Not to mention, the place is not a good choice for families with children.
The Rio Las Vegas has a 41-storey tower and a European-style cluster of restaurants and shops.
Inside Rio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas
A carnival-like live action show, called Show in the Sky, runs every hour in the evenings on weekends.
The Rio is rightly proud of its variety of bars and restaurants, including a nice and popular buffet, a neat wine bar with tasting opportunities, plus the Voodoo Lounge.
The swimming pools are far from top-notch compared to those of other Vegas resorts, and some parts of the casino can be too a bit off-putting, so avoid especially the older sections.
On the upside, the Penn & Teller show, easily the smartest show in town, resides at the Rio Hotel & Casino.
